Dermatosis is a medical term for any disease or abnormal condition of the skin.
The plural is dermatoses.
The word covers a broad range of skin disorders—rashes, growths, discolorations—without specifying the cause or nature: The patient presented with an unidentified dermatosis on her forearms.
