Denationalised is the British spelling of denationalized, the past tense and participle of denationalise.
To denationalise is to transfer ownership of an industry or enterprise from government control to private hands—the reverse of nationalisation: British Rail was denationalised in the 1990s.
The process is also called privatisation.
