decathlons
Olympic athletic marathons
Decathlons is the plural of decathlon, an athletic competition comprising ten track and field events contested over two days.
The events test speed, strength, and endurance: sprints, hurdles, jumps, throws, and a distance run.
By extension, any grueling multi-part challenge might be called a decathlon: The job interview was a decathlon of tests and panels.
