cutting table
Tailor's large workspace
A cutting table is a large, flat work surface used for laying out and cutting fabric, paper, or other materials.
In garment manufacturing and sewing rooms, cutting tables are typically waist-height and wide enough to spread full bolts of fabric: She unrolled the pattern pieces across the cutting table.
The term also appears in film and video editing for the traditional workspace where footage was physically cut and spliced.
