cultural ambassador
Heritage promotion diplomat
A cultural ambassador is someone who represents and promotes their culture to outsiders, whether officially appointed or self-designated.
Diplomats, artists, and athletes often serve as cultural ambassadors for their nations: Jazz musicians became cultural ambassadors during the Cold War.
The term also applies informally to anyone who introduces others to their heritage: As the only Korean in her office, she became an unofficial cultural ambassador.
