copper alloy
Brass or bronze
A copper alloy is a metal made by combining copper with one or more other elements—zinc produces brass, tin produces bronze.
Copper alloys retain copper's conductivity and corrosion resistance while gaining hardness or other properties suited to specific uses: plumbing fixtures, electrical components, musical instruments, coins.
