content curation
Choosing what matters
Content curation is the process of gathering, organizing, and presenting information from various sources around a particular topic or theme.
Unlike content creation, which produces original material, curation involves selecting and contextualizing existing content: Her newsletter is pure content curation—she reads hundreds of articles so you don't have to.
The term emerged with social media and information overload, describing what librarians and editors have always done.
