concussion test
Post-impact cognitive evaluation
A concussion test is any assessment used to evaluate brain function after a head injury.
These range from sideline screenings—asking what day it is, testing balance and memory—to formal neuropsychological batteries.
Athletes often take baseline concussion tests before a season so results can be compared if they later take a hit: She failed the concussion test and was pulled from the game.
