A clone army is a military force composed of genetically identical soldiers, mass-produced from a single genetic template.
The concept belongs to science fiction, most famously the Grand Army of the Republic in Star Wars.
Figuratively, clone army describes any group of people who seem indistinguishable from one another: The tech conference was full of a clone army of guys in hoodies.
