Circularity is the quality of being circular—either literally round or, more often, logically self-referential.
A circular argument assumes what it's trying to prove: The circularity of his reasoning escaped him.
The term appears in discussions of logic, economics, and systems where outputs feed back into inputs.
Something can have a pleasing circularity when it comes full circle: The circularity of the plot—ending where it began—felt deliberate.
