cheapy

Low-cost knockoff

Cheapy is informal for something inexpensive and often of low quality—a cheaper alternative that may not hold up well: I bought a cheapy umbrella and it broke the first time I used it.

The word carries affectionate dismissiveness, acknowledging you get what you pay for.

Also spelled cheapie.
