carbonados
Dark industrial gems
Carbonados is the plural of carbonado, which has two distinct meanings.
One is a cut of meat—usually beef—that is scored, seasoned, and grilled or broiled over coals: The cook prepared carbonados for the evening meal.
The other is a type of dark, opaque industrial diamond, extremely hard and used for drilling and cutting rather than jewelry.
