captain's cabin
Commander's private room
The captain's cabin is the private quarters assigned to the commanding officer of a ship.
Larger and better appointed than crew accommodations, it typically includes sleeping, working, and sometimes dining space.
The term extends to similar spaces on aircraft or spacecraft: The captain's cabin was located just aft of the bridge.
