bush-league
Strictly minor-time
Bush-league means amateurish, second-rate, or unprofessional.
The term comes from minor-league baseball, where teams played in small towns—"the bushes"—rather than major cities.
It describes anything that falls short of professional standards: That was a bush-league move.
The hyphen is optional; bush league works as a noun for the minor leagues themselves.
