no-account
Without any merit
No-account describes someone or something worthless, good-for-nothing, or of no consequence: her no-account brother who never held down a job, a no-account little town in the middle of nowhere.
The term is informal and slightly old-fashioned, common in Southern American speech.
As a noun, a no-account is such a person: He's a no-account who'll never amount to anything.
