bump-fire
Trigger-resetting recoil technique
Bump-fire is a technique for firing a semiautomatic weapon at near-automatic rates by using the gun's recoil to rapidly pull the trigger.
The shooter holds the trigger finger stationary while the recoiling gun "bumps" back and forth against it.
Bump stocks are devices designed to facilitate this technique; they became illegal in the U.S. after the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting.
