bubble level
Air-in-liquid straightener
A bubble level is a tool for determining whether a surface is perfectly horizontal or vertical.
It contains a sealed glass tube with liquid and an air bubble; when the bubble centers between marked lines, the surface is level.
Carpenters, masons, and DIYers use bubble levels to ensure straight, even work: Check it with a bubble level before you drill.
