body snatchers
Steal the deceased
Body snatchers are people who steal corpses, historically to sell them to medical schools for dissection when legal cadavers were scarce.
The term now commonly refers to the alien invaders from the 1956 film *Invasion of the Body Snatchers*, who replace humans with emotionless duplicates: The office felt like something out of Body Snatchers after the merger.
