bocci
Lawn ball game
Bocci is an Italian lawn game where players toss balls toward a smaller target ball, trying to land closest to it.
Also spelled bocce or boccie.
The game resembles French pétanque and English bowls: We played bocci in the backyard after dinner.
Popular at Italian-American gatherings and in parks with dedicated courts.
