blinkered
Refusing broader perspectives
Blinkered describes a narrow or limited perspective, like a horse wearing blinders that restrict peripheral vision.
Someone with blinkered views sees only what's directly in front of them, ignoring broader context or alternative viewpoints: a blinkered approach to foreign policy, His blinkered focus on profits ignored employee welfare.
The word carries implicit criticism—blinkered thinking is usually presented as a flaw.
