bingo nights
Community hall games
Bingo nights are regular social gatherings, typically at community centers, churches, or fraternal organizations, where people play bingo for prizes or small cash payouts.
The atmosphere combines light gambling with socializing, drawing older crowds especially.
Every Thursday is bingo night at the VFW hall.
The phrase evokes wholesome, slightly dowdy communal entertainment.
