after-school programs
Youth enrichment offerings
After-school programs are organized activities for children and teenagers during the hours between school dismissal and when parents return from work.
They may offer homework help, tutoring, sports, arts, or simply supervised care.
The term encompasses everything from YMCA drop-in programs to enrichment academies: The district expanded after-school programs to keep kids off the streets.
