bassoonists
Low woodwind musicians
Bassoonists are musicians who play the bassoon, a large double-reed woodwind instrument with a deep, rich tone.
The bassoon's distinctive sound and technical demands make bassoonists essential to orchestras and wind ensembles: The bassoonists in the woodwind section carried the melody.
