band-stop
Rejects specific frequencies
Band-stop describes a filter that blocks frequencies within a specific range while allowing those above and below to pass through.
The opposite of a band-pass filter.
Used in electronics and signal processing to eliminate unwanted interference or noise at particular frequencies: a band-stop filter to remove the 60-hertz hum from the audio signal.
