auklet
Small diving seabird
An auklet is a small seabird of the North Pacific, related to puffins and murres.
Several species exist, most with distinctive crests or facial plumes during breeding season.
Like other members of the auk family, auklets dive for small fish and crustaceans and nest in dense coastal colonies.
