attractant
Something that entices
An attractant is a substance that draws organisms toward it.
The term appears most often in pest control and biology: pheromone attractants lure insects into traps, while floral attractants bring pollinators to flowers.
The trap uses a chemical attractant to catch fruit flies.
The opposite is a repellent.
