Forearm shield piece
An armguard is a protective covering worn on the forearm.
In archery, it shields the inner arm from the snap of the bowstring: She strapped on her armguard before practice.
Armguards also appear in fencing, historical reenactment, and various sports where the forearm needs protection from impact or abrasion.
