Anti-woke describes opposition to progressive social movements, particularly those addressing racial justice, gender identity, and systemic inequality.
The term is used both by critics of such movements and by those who view the opposition as reactionary: anti-woke politicians, an anti-woke backlash.
What counts as "woke" varies by speaker, making anti-woke equally elastic.
