album tour
Promotional concert series
An album tour is a series of concerts performed to promote a newly released album.
The tour typically features songs from that album prominently, though artists usually mix in older hits.
Album tours are announced around release dates to drive sales and streaming: The band kicks off their album tour in Chicago next month.
Distinguished from greatest hits tours or residencies.
