aerograph

Compressed air sprayer

An aerograph is an instrument for spraying paint or other liquids using compressed air—essentially an airbrush.

The term appears in older technical writing but has largely given way to airbrush in common usage.

In meteorology, aerograph sometimes refers to instruments that record atmospheric conditions.
