adaptive cruise
Speed-matching car feature
Adaptive cruise is short for adaptive cruise control, a vehicle feature that maintains a set speed like traditional cruise control but automatically adjusts to keep a safe following distance from traffic ahead.
The system uses sensors to detect slower vehicles and brakes or accelerates accordingly: I set the adaptive cruise and let the car handle the stop-and-go traffic.
