Yo-Yo Ma
Celebrated cello virtuoso
Yo-Yo Ma is an American cellist, born in Paris to Chinese parents, widely considered among the greatest living classical musicians.
His repertoire spans Bach suites to contemporary compositions, and he's known for cross-genre collaborations: Yo-Yo Ma's Silk Road Ensemble blends Eastern and Western traditions.
The name has become shorthand for virtuoso cello performance.
