Y-intersection

Three-way road junction

A Y-intersection is where a road splits into two diverging branches or where two roads merge into one, forming a shape like the letter Y.

Unlike a T-intersection, where roads meet at roughly right angles, a Y-intersection involves more acute angles: The GPS said to bear right at the Y-intersection.
