Title I
School funding law
Title I refers to the first major section of a U.S. federal law, most commonly the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, which provides funding to schools with high percentages of low-income students: Title I schools, Title I funding.
The designation appears in other legislation too—Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act covers employment discrimination.
Context usually clarifies which law is meant.
