Texas hold em

Two-card poker variant

Texas hold 'em is a poker variant where each player receives two private cards and shares five community cards dealt face-up on the table.

Players make the best five-card hand from any combination of their hole cards and the community cards.

The game involves four betting rounds—after the deal, after the first three community cards (the flop), after the fourth (the turn), and after the fifth (the river).

It became the dominant form of poker in the 21st century, largely through televised tournaments and online play.
