Sundarbans

Bengali tidal forest

The Sundarbans is a vast mangrove forest spanning the delta of the Ganges, Brahmaputra, and Meghna rivers, shared by Bangladesh and India.

It's the world's largest tidal mangrove forest and home to the Bengal tiger.

The name comes from the sundari tree that dominates the region: The Sundarbans are threatened by rising sea levels.
