tiger reserve
Big cat refuge
A tiger reserve is a protected area of forest or wilderness designated specifically for tiger conservation.
These reserves restrict human activity and development to preserve habitat for wild tiger populations.
India established the first such reserves in 1973; the term appears most often in South Asian contexts: The Sundarbans tiger reserve spans India and Bangladesh.
