Southsider
White Sox supporter
A Southsider is someone from the south side of a city, most commonly Chicago, where the term carries strong neighborhood identity and often working-class connotations: He's a proud Southsider, born and raised.
The term implies loyalty to local sports teams, particularly the White Sox over the Cubs.
Other cities have their own Southsider identities, but Chicago's usage dominates.
