South Rim
Grand Canyon viewpoint
The South Rim is the more accessible and visited edge of the Grand Canyon in Arizona, distinguished from the North Rim across the gorge.
It stays open year-round and draws the vast majority of the park's visitors: We watched the sunset from the South Rim.
The term applies similarly to other canyons with distinct rim areas.
