Lake Powell
Arizona-Utah reservoir
Lake Powell is a large reservoir on the Colorado River, straddling the Arizona-Utah border.
Created by the Glen Canyon Dam in 1963, it became a major recreation destination for boating, fishing, and camping, though drought and water management controversies have dramatically lowered its levels in recent decades.
