Skycam
Suspended broadcast equipment
Skycam is a camera system suspended on cables above a playing field or arena, allowing sweeping aerial shots during sports broadcasts.
The cables connect to motorized winches at different points around the venue, enabling the camera to move in three dimensions while tracking the action below.
The Skycam swooped down for a close-up of the quarterback.
