Rohypnol
Illicit party sedative
Rohypnol is the brand name for flunitrazepam, a powerful sedative in the benzodiazepine family.
It produces strong sedation, muscle relaxation, and amnesia.
Though prescribed for severe insomnia in some countries, it's illegal in the United States and notorious as a date-rape drug—slipped into drinks to incapacitate victims who later can't remember the assault.
Street names include roofies and the forget-me pill.
