Ramona Quimby

Ramona Quimby is a fictional character created by Beverly Cleary, the spirited young protagonist of a series of children's novels beginning with *Beezus and Ramona* (1955).

She's known for her impulsive behavior, vivid imagination, and the ordinary childhood troubles of growing up in Portland, Oregon.

The name evokes a certain type of headstrong, well-meaning kid who causes chaos without malice: She's being such a Ramona Quimby today.
