RTX

Nvidia's rendering tech

RTX is Nvidia's branding for graphics cards featuring real-time ray tracing technology, which simulates how light behaves in physical environments to produce more realistic reflections, shadows, and lighting in video games and 3D applications.

The RTX series launched in 2018 and has become shorthand for high-end PC gaming hardware: I finally upgraded to an RTX 4080.

RTX is also the renamed Raytheon Technologies corporation.
