Cormac McCarthy
Cormac McCarthy was an American novelist known for spare, violent, often biblical prose set in the American South and Southwest.
His works include *Blood Meridian*, *No Country for Old Men*, and *The Road*.
McCarthy's style—minimal punctuation, no quotation marks, long unparagraphed passages—influenced a generation of writers.
The prose had a McCarthy-esque brutality to it.
