Norfolk pines

Tropical evergreen houseplants

Norfolk pines are tall evergreen trees native to Norfolk Island in the South Pacific, commonly grown as houseplants and outdoor ornamentals in warm climates.

Their symmetrical, tiered branches and soft needles make them popular as living Christmas trees: We decorated the Norfolk pine instead of buying a cut tree.

Despite the name, they're not true pines.
