Nippers
British slang, children
Nippers are small pincers or pliers for gripping, cutting, or biting—especially wire cutters or nail clippers.
The word extends to the pincers of crabs and lobsters.
In British and Australian slang, nippers are young children, perhaps from the idea of small creatures that nip: The nippers are driving me mad today.
