John Gotti
John Gotti was an American mobster who led the Gambino crime family from 1985 until his 1992 conviction.
Known as "The Dapper Don" for his expensive suits and "The Teflon Don" for beating earlier charges, Gotti became the most famous Mafia boss of his era, courting media attention in ways that broke with traditional mob discretion.
He died in prison in 2002.
