Hitler Youth
Third Reich scouts
The Hitler Youth was the Nazi Party's youth organization in Germany from 1926 to 1945, designed to indoctrinate children and teenagers in Nazi ideology and prepare boys for military service.
Membership became compulsory for German youth during the Third Reich.
The term now evokes blind obedience to authoritarian movements or the exploitation of young people for political purposes: The rally had a Hitler Youth vibe, all those kids in matching shirts chanting slogans.
