Highway 101
California coastal artery
Highway 101 is a major north-south route along the Pacific coast of the United States, running from Los Angeles through San Francisco to Washington State.
It passes through iconic California landscapes—Big Sur, the Redwoods, wine country—making it a scenic alternative to Interstate 5.
Often called simply the 101 or 101, especially in Southern California: Take 101 north to the Ventura exit.
